Top 10
If you are getting a BE in the Top 10 engg colleges of India then blindly go for a BE.
Top 25
If you are getting a BE in the Top 25 engg colleges of India then blindly go for a BE except that SRCC BA Hons or B Com Hons courses can tie with these colleges too if not beat them hands down.
Top 50
A BE in these colleges is better than any BA/BSc Hons other than SRCC.
Top 100
A BE from these colleges is equivalent if not better than a BSc/BA Hons especially in Eco or Maths from the best colleges like Top 5(or even 10) colleges in DU. At this stage you can have some confusion.
Top 200
You can still consider going for these engg colleges however personally I would prefer to go for Top 10 colleges of DU or equivalent colleges.
Top 500
Go for a BSc/BA Hons in a reputed college!
